Students are encouraged to use Oxford Reading Buddy at home using the login details provided by their teacher.
As a parent, you cannot set up an account on Oxford Reading Buddy, but you can support your child when they are logged into their account at home.
If you don’t have an internet connection or a computer at home, or if children want to use Oxford Reading Buddy when they are out, it can be accessed from any mobile device.
The Oxford Reading Buddy Android and iOS apps were developed to enable you to download Oxford Reading Buddy eBooks to your devices for offline reading. We are currently reviewing the way the apps function and have made the decision to withdraw them from the App and Play stores from 28 February 2024. After this date, the Android and iOS apps will no longer be available to use and you will not be able to log in.
Please note: We are aware of some speed and performance issues on Oxford Reading Buddy. We are working hard to resolve these problems and thank you for your patience.
In the meantime, don’t forget to check the supported devices and browsers for the service.
